Good to know

The GOOD Stuff: The Blue Moon is a true log cabin with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. It is the perfect space for couples! The cabin provides the best of both worlds; a rustic, log cabin in the mountains, but with all of the modern luxuries. πŸ”Ή The location is a great base for exploring all that the GreatSmoky Mountains has to offer. LESS THAN 20 MINUTES (10 MILES) TO THE NEAREST NATIONAL PARK ENTRANCE AT WEARS VALLEY!!! We are ~10 minutes from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and all of the attractions! Our location is convenient to attractions but far enough out to feel peaceful and enjoy the natural landscape! There are other cabins nearby so that you’re not isolated, but they are far enough way that you still have privacy. πŸ”Ή There is a spacious wrap around covered deck with mountain views that faces Southeast, so it is great for catching the sunrise with your morning coffee or tea; or the moonrise in the evening with a relaxing beverage. πŸ”Ή Enjoy the hot tub on the back deck; towels are provided and there is even a convenient half bath nearby to use. The hot tub is drained and cleaned after each guest so it is sparkling clean for your use. πŸ”Ή The full kitchen with brand new appliances, makes it easy to prepare meals or snacks. πŸ”Ή The self-check in with a smart lock is super convenient. There is no need to go to an office for keys; go straight to the cabin! πŸ”Ή The warm and cozy fireplace (propane) is great during the cooler months from October 1st to March 31st; fireplaces in the area are shut down from Apr 1st to Sep 31st. πŸ”Ή Log into all of your favorite apps and channels on the 40” Smart TV in the living room. πŸ”Ή Enjoy the super comfy king size bed with its brand new mattress and 100% cotton bed linens. πŸ”Ή There is a stackable size washer/dryer available if needed

Other Details to Note

The GOOD TO KNOW Stuff: * Please read before booking* β˜‘ The roads to the cabin are paved and in good condition; however, the road leading to the cabin does have a fairly steep incline. This is the mountains! Be aware that the driveway can be a little challenging to back out of, but we have placed markers to help guide you whether you prefer to pull in or back in. After the first time or two of doing it you’ll have it down. We do not give refunds for road conditions. ***Be sure to use the main road, Bluff Mountain Rd, to get into and out of the cabin. Please do not try to go the "back way" on the gravel road unless you have a high clearance vehicle. We do not recommend this approach to the cabin, and it is not shorter or quicker*** β˜‘ The cabin is intended for 1-2 people and is great for couples. We allow a maximum of 3 people. It is really not equipped for more than that. If you are planning to have 3 people please message us prior to booking. β˜‘ We’ve stocked the kitchen with typically used items. If you’re wanting a particular item though be sure to make arrangements. There is a drip coffee maker and a stovetop Cuban espresso maker. We provide a variety of teas. We provide some coffee singles bags to get you started until you can pick up your preferred brand. There are single serve creamers and sugars also. β˜‘ We supply starter packs of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, body wash, shampoo, conditioner to get you started but if you require more than that you may need to supplement. β˜‘ The cabin has a well. We have installed all the water treatment systems and it is maintained regularly. The water is typically good because of this, but there can be fluctuations depending on the weather and amount of rainfall. β˜‘ Because the cabin is located in a wooded, rural setting there maybe animals, including bears, but also raccoons, squirrels, and chipmunks so be sure to place all garbage in the enclosed bin. Also, never approach or feed any of the wildlife! β˜‘ Because the cabin is located in a wooded, rural setting there will be insects. We have monthly pest control treatments done. Depending on the season though there will still be mosquitos, ladybugs, and stink bugs. If you leave the door open they will come inside no matter how often we spray. The ladybugs happen no matter what you do, so if you are there during that time understand it is not due to negligence or lack of cleaning, but due to nature and nature rules. β˜‘ Our location is great as a base for exploring the Great Smoky Mountains area. Be aware though that this is a very big area and driving will be necessary to see all it has to offer. β˜‘ Be sure to check out our guide book. It has all kinds of great information about the cabin and recommendations for the area

Neighborhood

Small residential area with other similar cabins. Paved roads. Some areas with steep roads. Located ~ 10-15 minutes from the Parkway in PF. As mentioned, the driveway can be challenging at first. This is not unique to our cabin. It is just the nature of the location but be aware. The roads to the cabin are paved and in good condition; however, the road leading to the cabin does have a fairly steep incline. This is the mountains! Adorable little cabin! The view overlooking the mountains was enjoyable. Private yet still close enough to neighbors in case of an emergency. Half wrap around porch, clean hot tub, COMFORTABLE bed and sheets. The cabin was clean. There were even recommendations posted on the fridge for area attractions and restaurants. We stayed the weekend of Aug 15-17 for a quick 10 year anniversary trip. It was perfect for us.
